We have seen examples of some of the best rants over the past few days. We had a couple of days of calm, when recent defamatory threads were removed from public view, albeit left open to avid googlers to find for a few hours after the event. For those not familiar with that incident, details are here: The Mysterious Case of the Vanishing Thread. After the calm, Hurricane BHF swept in with deadly fury. A thread that was started to discuss Chrisy Morris’s run in with an enforcement agent quickly descended into a bitchfest of gargantuan proportions, as Firthy so aptly pointed out:
Although the initial bitchfest was aimed at the usual suspect, an unknown quantity made an appearance on this site, someone they couldn’t quite place. They somehow believe only FOUR people have something to say against them, however, there are many more out there apart from the Fab Four. Mark Bowley’s clumsy appearance on Quatloos last year didn’t help matters any. He achieved all the opposite of what he set out to achieve, and attracted the attention of a lot more people who wouldn’t, otherwise, have given them a second look.
When they realised this new poster didn’t fit any of the Fab Four, they had a problem in their hands, and the easiest way to solve it was to assume that this fifth person was, in fact, “Donna”, someone who never had anything to do with the BHF Boys. Her connection was through a certain David Lindley, who posted on the same Facebook group as another lady who also had bailiff issues and had gone to BHF for advice. Somehow they assumed Donna had joined the Fab Four as one of their “lackeys”, their word of choice for anyone who disagrees with them and their relentless abuse.
Back in the days when Mark Bowley joined Quatloos under assorted usernames and received ban after ban under all of them, he came across a prolific poster by the name of “Bones”. Mark somehow assumed that Bones was Donna, and said so time and time again. There was no way on earth to convince him otherwise, not even when Bones himself posted on Quatloos that he was, in fact, Ben. He also changed his signature on the CAG board to reflect this fact and went as far as to post on BHF that he was, in fact, Ben Hall.
Mark has a short fuse and an even shorter memory span, and he came to the conclusion that the person who posted on here was Donna. Bones came clean and started posting as himself but Mark would have none of it, he was adamant that the poster on here was Donna a.k.a. Bones and started hurling the usual insults at “her”. Bones then took matters into his own hands and rang Jason, who refused to talk to him, yet posted the recording on the open forum. What on earth possess him to do that? Leaving aside the legalities of posting up phone conversations without the other party’s consent, all he did was admit that they had been WRONG ALL ALONG in their assumption that Bones = Donna, the voice on the other end of that call didn’t sound like Donna at all!
Not content with the revelation from the man himself, they carried on with the abuse and the rants. Rather than admit he was WRONG ALL ALONG, Mark just started hurling insults at Bones, when he was owed an apology instead.
As if that wasn’t enough, as soon as Mark found out Bones’ real identity, he dug up the dirt on him and posted it up quicker than a nuclear propelled fart. It’s what he does.
